We had Steve and his team take on a significant change to our home which was to create a large open plan living space for our family. He came highly recommended through a friend and we were not disappointed. Steve gave us very accurate information of what was involved at the early stages and helped manage our expectations throughout. He was the most thorough when he first came round to understand the job and gave us a highly detailed and competitive quote so there were no surprises.
It was a particularly complex job involving lots of different trades and Steve took on the coordination and management of all these tasks. From our point of view this was exactly what we wanted. He used people and suppliers he trusted which helped keep the project on track. All those that were on site were hard working and highly skilled in their areas and our impression was that Steve would not tolerate anything less from those he used. His own attention to detail was high and where decisions were to be made, he helped and advised us as this our first experience of undertaking such a large project. Steve’s knowledge and experience really showed when we as with all projects encountered difficulties and he took it all in his stride.
As we were living in the property throughout the project, he was always conscious of leaving things neat and tidy and functioning when needed. This was greatly appreciated especially as we had young children to look after.
The results we are extremely pleased with and we now have the space we wanted finished to a very high quality. All those that have come round since have been amazed at the transformation we have made and the finish achieved. I would have no hesitation in recommending Steve and the Cambridge Loft Company to anyone who appreciates experience and quality and wants a trusted builder to undertake their project.
